![]() You definitely have to be mature enough to watch it, because there is lots of blood and it is awful to watch how the people treat Jesus.ĭespite the violent scenes, this is a wonderful Catholic movie that really hits the heart and shows Jesus's love for us and makes you think. It's even more heart-wrenching because you know it's true and that it really happened and you know that Jesus went through it all for YOU because He loves you so much and you're that important to Him. I literally cried throughout the entire thing, right from when the guards got Jesus to when He rose again. We made it fine, though we didn't watch some scenes entirely. I was fourteen and my brother was thirteen when we watched it. This literally has the two best role models ever, Jesus and His (and our) Mother Mary!Īs for good messages, the Passion, crucifixion and resurrection are the definition of good messages! ![]() How can Common Sense Media say this has no good role models or messages? It really puts into perspective how much God loves us and what He was willing to do for us to save us from our sins. My family watched this on Good Friday, partly to help us contemplate on the Passion and Sacrifice of Jesus, and believe me, it helped. This is a very beautiful, but very intense movie of the last hours of Christ.
